Hello, we’re the Crazy Baker – an artisan bakery and wholesaler based in North West London. We also have a café /store as well as a home delivery service to the local area. Everything we produce is made by hand, in our own bakery and kitchens using the best quality and freshest ingredients. The only ‘additives’ you’ll find in our products are an extra pinch of love, care and attention!

This is our first book and secretly we’re very proud of it. It’s jam-packed with more than 70 delicious recipes for whoopies and cupcakes – from the classic mini-victoria sponge to a wonderful array of chocolate and fruity delights. It includes sections on making celebration cakes for special occasions and some great fun ideas to amuse any little bakers you might have at home. This is also the only place you’ll find the recipe for Sophie’s award-winning Lemon Drizzle Cupcake – which sounds yummy and, in tests, proved 6-times as yummy as it sounds!
When we’re not baking bread, pastries, and cakes, when we’re not preparing fresh salads, what – you might ask - do we do with all our time? Good question (if a little cheeky). Actually we have a sizeable sister business, Sophie Grey Events, which runs special events of all sizes – from cooking in your home for a very special evening in, to organising something much larger, maybe a corporate canapé reception, a party to celebrate that special birthday or an intimate something for you and your closest friends. We’ve been doing this a long time and it’s not just our food that sets us apart. We know how stressful it can be in the lead up to a big celebration, it can take the shine away and for some, it can be almost unbearable. So why not relax and let us take the strain, leaving you to enjoy your own event – almost like you’re one of the guests!
